Ms Perry said that existing apps used to control home music systems really work, referring to the partnership between Sonos and Spotify which allow users to have power over music via their tablet 'beautiful and really exceptional'.
A recent study by US analysts Piper Jaffray suggested that retailers stocking the iPad 2 completely sold out of the tablets over its launch weekend.
