Mr Jones added that few companies generate reports or metrics to show their data management problems, which means executives are not aware that these issues have a definite effect on their bottom line.
In addition, the expert highlighted several of the problems springing from poor data management, such as restricted organisational performance and the need for employees to waste time resolving issues caused by defective information.
