The expert added that smaller businesses seem to be more eager to branch out into social networking than their larger counterparts, as bigger companies tend to be less flexible when it comes to increasing the flexibility of their corporate structure.
Last week, IT industry analyst Gartner suggested that 20 per cent of businesses will replace email with social media as the main communication tool by 2014.
