The Cloud Law Summit, which is hosted by the BroadGroup, will look at how concerns over how international legislation and privacy issues will affect companies planning to use the technology.
Held in London on February 10th, the event will bring together international legal and commercial experts to discuss issues such as the European Union Data Protection Directive and the US Patriot Act.
In addition, delegates will look at the ways companies using cloud computing can maintain satisfactory IT security standards and ways to protect data held on the systems.
Dominic Lowndes, managing director of the technology, media and telecommunications team at BroadGroup, said: 'The uptake of cloud technology and services is widely predicted to surge in 2010, but many major enterprises remain cautious about privacy and security.'
Rob Lovell, chief executive at ThinkGrid, recently predicted that more small and medium-sized firms will start to adopt cloud computing in the coming year, as they realise the benefits the technology can provide.
